Understanding the requirements and practical application of the NEC is paramount to the practicing MEP consulting engineer and over the past few years, while we have seen improvements in enforcement, their remains much mis-application of this code. Montgomery County approved NEC 2008 Electrical Code&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;On January 12, 2010 the Mongomery County Maryland County Council approved Executive Regulation 15-09 adopting the 2008 National Electric Code, NEC with local amendments. The Building Development department will be allowing a 60 day grace period to allow customers time to comply with the new regulations.
